Industrial printing solutions supplier MTuTech has launched the MT-Cylinder Elf(SE) rotary UV printer, a system designed for customized surface printing on cups, bottles, cans and other cylindrical and conical objects. The machine combines a Ricoh Gen5i industrial printhead with a targeted optical system intended to deliver high-precision output on transparent materials and irregular curved surfaces.
The MT-Cylinder Elf(SE) supports 360-degree full-rotation printing for seamless graphic coverage. In production, the device can print a single item in about 40 seconds, positioning it for small-batch, high-mix personalized manufacturing.
To maintain output across different materials, the printer uses a Ricoh Gen5i printhead with 1,280 nozzles and a 2.5-picoliter droplet size. It supports CMYK, white ink and varnish, with a white underbase for dark substrates and varnish layers for embossed and spot-gloss effects.

MTuTech applied several engineering adjustments to address transparent materials and taper issues common in cylindrical printing. The upgraded UV light beam mode is designed to improve curing on transparent water bottles, glass cups and vacuum-insulated flasks. A tilt-control system is intended to match conical surfaces, while an adjustable fixture system accommodates rapid changeover between objects of different diameters.
An integrated anti-collision system is designed to reduce the risk of printhead damage caused by object-placement errors during printing.
MTuTech said the series is supported through remote installation and individualized training. The company also cited a one-year warranty and lifetime technical support for business users.
